Dr. Lorraine Thorpe, D.C. Owner
Dr. Lorraine Thorpe is the clinic director of Thorpe Chiropractic & Rehab Center. Dr. Thorpe graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in 1997, and has been practicing chiropractic for 19 years. She incorporates a variety of different techniques in her practice that include physiotherapy, massage therapy, and active rehabilitation as part of her clinic’s protocol. She is experienced in treating and diagnosing a vast range of spinal conditions, as well as conditions involving the extremities. She has treated a variety of accident cases, sports injuries, wellness patients and children. Dr. Thorpe is also a certified manipulation under anesthesia practitioner. She takes pride in making sure that her patients have a great experience in her office by providing a state of the art facility, with licensed and experienced staff, and a friendly environment.
Dr. Melanie Short, D.C.
Dr. Melanie Short is an Associate Chiropractic Physician at Thorpe Chiropractic and Rehab Center. Dr. Short earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree at Florida Gulf Coast University. She then earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic at National University of Health Sciences in St. Petersburg, Florida where she graduated as the Salutatorian of her class and received the Joseph Janse Outstanding Graduate Award. Dr. Short is also certified in Acupuncture through National University of Health Sciences. Dr. Short utilizes various chiropractic techniques, acupuncture, physiotherapy, massage therapy and active rehabilitation to address every patient’s needs. Dr. Short believes that her patients can lead their healthiest lives with the right care, daily activity, diet, and exercise. Dr. Short’s hobbies include Spin class, yoga, traveling, community involvement, and being active with her husband and their two dogs (Luke and Leia).
